The year 2019 bears fruits for DCWD’s hard work and dedication to service excellence as it receives recognition awards from the Civil Service Commission Field Office (CSCFO)-Western Pangasinan and the Government Quality Management Committee (GQMC).
On September 27, 2019, as part of the CSC’s celebration of its 119th Anniversary anchored on the theme “Upholding Integrity and Building a High-Trust Society,” CSCFO-Western Pangasinan conducted its Recognition Rites (Parangal…Pasasalamat Program),” DCWD was among the awardees for the all-out support to the programs of the CSCFO-Western Pangasinan and the Philippine Council of HR Practioners in Wester Pangasina, Inc.
The ceremony was held at the Narciso Ramos Sports Complex, Lingayen, Pangasinan where various government agencies such as Local Government Units (LGU), and Local Water Districts (LWDs) attended the said event that also recognized government employees who had rendered public service for 20 years, 25 years and 30 years. Mrs. Christy C. Agustin, the Administrative and Human Resources Department Manager, accepted the recognition award on behalf of General Manager (GM) Adelfo B. Valle. Mrs. Agustin stated that the award recognizes the collective effort of the DCWD workforce to not only improve its services but also help contribute in the overall success of the government by effectively performing as public servants all throughout the years of rendered service.
Likewise, DCWD, was among the awarded government agencies by the Government Quality Management Committee (GQMC) during the committee’s 7th Recognition Ceremony and Public Sector Quality and Productivity Improvement Forum which was conducted on October 24, at the Delegation Building (Summit Halls c & D), Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City.
The GQMC was created by virtue of Executive Order (EO) No. 05 S. 2017 which aims to monitor and evaluate government agencies in line with their respective performances in the public service. The said ceremony recognized the quality and productivity improvement efforts of various government agencies in their respective QMS resulting in the delivery of better frontline services.
With the theme: “QMS Level-Up! Gearing for Future-Ready Public Service,” the GQMC awarded the DCWD a Certificate of Recognition for obtaining and maintaining the ISO 9001:2015 certificate. Mr. Jonathan H. Loresca, the DCWD ISO Facilitator, represented GM Valle and attended the ceremony to accept the award. According to Mr. Loresca, this award is proof that DCWD is on the right track and that it shall motivate the DCWD Management and personnel to continuously provide excellent customer service, while improving its services.”
Both Mrs. Agustin and Mr. Loresca, being Department and Division Managers respectively, beamed with pride as they accepted the said awards since these are reflections of DCWD’s support and contribution to excellent public service.
